A REES JONES & BILL BERGIN 18-HOLE HIGHLANDS COURSE

Resting on a rugged plateau atop Lookout Mountain, Georgia, 2,000 feet above sea level, McLemore overlooks the wilderness area of McLemore Cove and Pigeon Mountain in the heart of the Southeast. Rees Jones and Bill Bergin spent the better part of 2017 developing the renovation strategy for The Course at McLemore, which led to adjusted yardages that create more variety and provide a world-class test for the game’s best players and accessibility for beginners. Jones and Bergin partnered on enhancing the greens complexes, optimizing angles to green locations, and improving fairway and greenside bunker placements. The dramatic mountaintop course was further enhanced with the addition of the cliff-edge 18th fairway overlooking McLemore Cove over 500 feet below. Few other national courses offer this kind of spectacular view.

THE MCLEMORE 6-HOLE SHORT COURSE

Opened on August of 2019, McLemore’s 6-hole Short Course, called “The Cairn,” enhances enjoyment and improves gameplay for all McLemore members and guests participating in the Club-managed Stay & Play program. Resting above the 18th hole and beside the McLemore Clubhouse (opening Fall of 2020), the McLemore Short Course provides an optimal warm up before a round and a relaxing cool down at the end of the day. Approach the Short Course with a wedge and a putter and enjoy the next 90-minutes with friends and family members. Your enjoyment of golf will increase dramatically as you spend time playing this elegant addition to the total McLemore experience.

THE MCLEMORE CLUBHOUSE

The McLemore Clubhouse offers members and guests a comfortable place to relax after a day on the course. Amenities include a bar and dining options, locker rooms, golf pro shop and ample room to unwind overlooking the new 18th fairway and beautiful McLemore Cove. The first building anchoring the community, The Clubhouse houses a restaurant (The Creag) and bar providing a place to gather along with a pro shop and locker rooms for players and a golf shop stocked with the latest golf equipment, apparel, and gifts.
